Theme of the Year: Inspirational and Motivational Reading

Adopting “Inspirational and Motivational Reading” as the Theme of the Year with the tagline “Reading the World • Inspiring the Mind and Refreshing the Soul”, this year’s Book Fair introduces some of the best inspirational authors and books of this genre to readers, aiming to bring Hong Kong citizens together and encourage them to seek out motivational books that can empower them to face the challenges ahead, and to emerge stronger after the pandemic.

The writers selected for the Theme of the Year are A Nong, Cheng Kwok Kong, Lee Check Fan, Philemon Choi Yuen-wan, Wu Yin Ching, Shirley Loo, Agnes Chan, Joseph Jao-Yiu Sung, Su Hei and Rap Chan. Aligning with this year’s theme, a thematic exhibition titled “Words to Warm the Heart” at the Art Gallery will display their precious manuscripts, memorabilia, calligraphy artworks and souvenirs, through which readers can appreciate the writers’ creative journeys from different perspectives. A number of these writers will also attend the Theme of the Year “Inspiring the Mind and Refreshing the Soul” Seminar Series to engage with their fans and book lovers.
