The 34th HKTDC Hong Kong Book Fair, 7th HKTDC Sports and Leisure Expo and 4th HKTDC World of Snacks, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), concluded today after a successful seven-day run that saw an enthusiastic response from the public, with the total number of visits reaching 990,000. The three cultural and leisure events featured 760 exhibitors, with diverse activities and interactive experiences at the Book Fair, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the enjoyment of reading, exciting sports experiences and mouthwatering global treats.

The 34th HKTDC Hong Kong Book Fair, 7th HKTDC Sports and Leisure Expo and 4th HKTDC World of Snacks all commence today, running for seven days (17 to 23 July) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the three summer cultural and leisure events offer a diverse range of activities that cater for the whole family.

The 34th HKTDC Hong Kong Book Fair, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, will be held from 17 to 23 July (Wednesday to Tuesday) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, running concurrently with the HKTDC Sports and Leisure Expo and HKTDC World of Snacks.

The 33rd HKTDC Hong Kong Book Fair, 6th Sports and Leisure Expo, and 3rd World of Snacks, drew to a successful close. The seven-day event attracted nearly one million visitors, of which 10% were tourists. Book Fair visitors spent an average of HK$872 (US$112) per person. Close to 780 exhibitors from 36 countries and regions participated in the three events, offering the public a diverse and extraordinary summer experience.

The 33rd HKTDC Hong Kong Book Fair will run from 19 to 25 July at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). With the theme of Children’s and Young Adult Literature, the Book Fair will showcase children’s and young adults’ literature, explore the depth of it and promote the fun of reading in the city, echoing the tagline Reading the World: The Joy of Reading for Children and Youth.

The 32nd HKTDC Hong Kong Book Fair, 5th HKTDC Sports and Leisure Expo and 2nd HKTDC World of Snacks, concluded successfully today. As the first large-scale event in 2022, the seven-day Book Fair and associated events brought together more than 700 exhibitors offering a diverse experience for shoppers that included books, sports and leisure products, and snacks.

Tickets for the 32nd Hong Kong Book Fair are open for sale on 27 June while online registration for seminars opens on 24 June, offering a wide range of stimulating and thought-provoking events for Hong Kong’s booklovers.

7 August 2021 ─ The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government’s Centre for Health Protection (CHP) has notified the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) that a patient who tested preliminary positive for the COVID-19 L452R mutant strain had visited the HKTDC Hong Kong Book Fair, HKTDC Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo and/or HKTDC World of Snacks on 18 July.

The theme of this year’s Book Fair is Inspirational and Motivational Reading.

Refund arrangement for the holders of regular tickets (adult ticket: HK$25; child ticket: HK$10), as well as Super Passes (HK$80) of the Hong Kong Book Fair originally scheduled on 15-21 July 2020 and 16-22 Dec 2020.

Originally scheduled for 15 to 21 July, the 31st Hong Kong Book Fair had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 epidemic. Following discussions with the Fair’s supporting organisations and relevant stakeholders, the HKTDC has decided to hold the 31st Hong Kong Book Fair including the Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo from 16 to 22 December 2020 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, and resume preparatory work for the Fair.

Refund arrangement for the holders of regular tickets (adult ticket: HK$25; child ticket: HK$10), as well as Super Passes (HK$80) of the Hong Kong Book Fair originally scheduled on 15-21 July 2020.

Given the latest epidemic situation, the Hong Kong Book Fair (original dates: 15 to 21 July) and three other public fairs during this period will be rescheduled.

The measures will be implemented should there be a Tropical Cyclone (commonly known as “typhoon”) or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal during the HKTDC Hong Kong Book Fair 2020 and the Hong Kong Sports & Leisure Expo 2020.
