Art Gallery Features Three Special Zones

"Words to Warm the Heart"
Aligning with this year’s theme, the thematic exhibition “Words to Warm the Heart” will introduce the theme of the year authors and some of their selected works. In addition, precious memorabilia provided by the authors will be displayed to help readers understand their creative journey from different perspectives. Items on display include calligraphy artworks, rare collectibles, lyric manuscripts, letters from readers that have seldom been seen before, movie programme booklets, and protective clothing used by frontline healthcare workers during the SARS outbreak.

"Cherished Memories of the Children’s Paradise"
Launched in the 1950s, “Children’s Paradise”, the longest-running children’s magazine in the history of Hong Kong, had grown together with many Hong Kong people, and the editor-in-chief Lo Koon-chiu has created many popular characters. The “Cherished Memories of the Children’s Paradise” zone will display the rare copies of this popular kids’ magazine from different eras along with the original drawings and related premiums, allowing visitors to revisit this dreamland which conveys positive values and to recall their childhood memories.

"The Dragon Never Dies – Bruce Lee @80"
Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the birth of Bruce Lee, the HKTDC co-organised with the Burce Lee Club to set up the "The Dragon Never Dies – Bruce Lee @80" zone. This zone will showcase Bruce Lee's rare photos, newspaper clippings, relevant works of art and collectibles, reminiscing the legendary life of this martial arts superstar.

The Eight Seminar Series
This year's Book Fair continues to feature eight seminar series, namely Theme of the Year "Inspiring the Mind and Refreshing the Soul", "World of Knowledge", "Hong Kong Cultural and Historical", "English and Foreign Reading", "Lifestyle", "Personal Development and Spiritual Growth", "Children and Youth Reading", and "Renowned Writers" seminar series.

In collaboration with Ming Pao Daily News and Asia Weekly again, the organiser has invited renowned Chinese writers to engage with book lovers. Various foreign-language writers have also been invited to attend the sharing sessions. These writers include Peter Gordon, Juan José Morales, Dr. Gillian Bickley and Mark O'Neill.
