26 July 2016 – The 27th Hong Kong Book Fair ended today, after drawing record attendance of close to 1.02 million visitors. The week-long literary and cultural extravaganza, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, featured an extensive selection of literary works, renowned international authors and diverse cultural activities. An on-site survey found that visitors spent an average of HK$902 at the fair, comparable to last year. And, fiction and literature were the most popular categories.

23 July 2012 – The Hong Kong Observatory has announced that Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 will be hoisted at 6pm today. The Hong Kong Book Fair will be closed from 5:45pm today. Exhibitors and visitors are requested to leave the exhibition within two hours.Ticket booths are closed and visitors will not be admitted. All Book Fair seminars will be cancelled.

Anthony Horowitz’s Final “Alex Rider” Book Promises to be “Dark” Best-Selling British Author Visiting Hong Kong for Upcoming Book Fair
5 July 2010 – The final instalment in British writer Anthony Horowitz’s “Alex Rider” series promises to be a nerve-tingling affair, said the author, in a recent interview with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC).

“It’s a very dark Alex Rider novel,” Mr Horowitz told the HKTDC, adding that he is about halfway through writing the book. “It’s very definitely the last one and, as you read it and sort of get a sense that there’s no way out of this, so there’s only one possible conclusion.”
