World of Art & Culture

The World of Art and Culture is a brand new culture and art exhibition zone organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and sponsored by Create Hong Kong of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. It aims at facilitating cultural exchange and promoting art appreciation. Echoing the theme of this year’s Book Fair “Reading the World: The Joy of Reading for Children and Youth,” this zone showcases children literature and cultural exhibits from more than 25 countries and regions. Apart from that, award-winning books under the categories of “Children & Young Adults” and “Art & Design” of the Hong Kong Publishing Biennial Awards 2023* as well as works of local illustrators are also featured.

In addition to appreciating arts pieces and reading literature of various countries and regions, multiple art and languages workshops will be organised for public to experience cultural and arts creation through interactive ways. Delegation of the European Union to Hong Kong and Macao, Consulate General of France in Hong Kong & Macau, Consulate General of Switzerland in Hong Kong as well as Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Hong Kong and Macao SAR’s, PRC will organise multiple events and offer free workshops where participants experience art, culture and creativity to help readers develop a deeper understanding of different cultures.
